Dreams are overrated (20-Jul-2019)

23 years ago, I wanted to "Know" true nature of God.

20 years ago, I wanted to become the richest man ever born.

17 years ago, I wanted to sleep with 90% of the women I knew.

15 Years ago, I wanted to play cricket for my country.

10 years ago, I was doing theater and was so close to getting into a Big Banner Bollywood movie.

5 years ago, I was preparing myself to move to Europe forever.

Today, here I am unemployed, hoping for something "Good" to happen.

I swear that I don't feel bad about turning into a Nihilist, not becoming super-rich, having a lot of sex, playing cricket or Acting, I don't regret coming back to India as well.

Dreams are generally overrated. With every phase of life, dreams change & if they are not changing that means you ain't "growing" and not learning from Life.

We are fascinated with success stories without realizing that you don't choose success, success chooses you. And more importantly, how do you define success?

When Shiv Kumar Batalavi was getting married, neighborhood women were singing marriage songs written by Shiv himself. He is still the youngest recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award. He died in the age of 35 as an utterly frustrated alcoholic. Would you call him successful?
