Sakshi Mishra's Love Story (13-July)

An upper cast girl from a small city loved a guy but parents did not want her to marry this Dalit guy. They eloped, married, but as girl made a viral video, MLA father wanted to kill them. Social Media & News channel intervened to make sure a high voltage drama and eventually father said: "Do whatever you want".

My problem here is the majority of the people who say "Ladki ne baap ki ijjat uchaal di". Law gives all the right to her to marry whomever she wants. Morality is a perception & when morality clashes with Law, it is Law which prevails.

Remember, that iconic statement of film #Omkara "Jo khud ke baap ki na hui wo teri kya hogi Omi". No one see here , Baap bhi to beti ka na hua.

Parents need to understand that they do not own the life of their kids. Your only right is to choose a school for Kids, not a life partner. Let them decide, EVEN IF THEY ARE WRONG. Don't feel so great about giving birth to your kids, they did not give you application for birth, you did it for your selfish motives.

Taking care of them, education, food, health are parents responsibility because they chose to bring kids here, obviously, you have to take care, do not boast. But expecting to control the lives of kids in return is idiotic.

Let them live. Let them love.
